MLM Attends 2025 MASC/MASS Annual Joint Conference
MLM attorneys joined other conference attendees at the President’s Reception after a long day of presentations.
The attorneys at Murphy, Lamere & Murphy, P.C. were proud to host the President’s Reception at the 2025 Annual Joint Conference of the Massachusetts Association of School Committees and the Massachusetts Association of School Superintendents.
MLM attorneys joined School Committee members, Superintendents, and other professionals in education for the three-day conference in Hyannis, which focused on the the challenges—and uncertainties—facing school districts, with an emphasis on sharing practical solutions to manage change and ensure all students are prepared to succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
On Day 1 of the conference, MLM shareholder Josh Coleman also hosted a panel presentation entitled “Collective Bargaining: Challenges in Negotiating Health Insurance.” Attorney Coleman joined industry professionals in an exploring the differing roles of districts in bargaining health insurance benefits as well as collective bargaining strategies to deal with rising costs. As one of MLM’s seasoned labor and employment attorneys, Josh offered insights from his experience at the bargaining table in an informative and enlightening discussion with the panel and those in attendance.
MLM thanks MASC and MASS for the opportunity to join this year’s conference and looks forward to the year ahead for Massachusetts superintendents and school committees.
